Review: Padron 1964 Hermosa Maduro

The Brand New Padron 1964 Anniversary Hermoso is the newest cigar in the 1964 Series since the No. 4 back in 2012.  The Hermoso is a 4 x 56 Short Robusto.  Blended wth the same components as it's 1964 counterparts, I'm interested to see how this 56 ring gauge stacks up.

Look
The Hermoso looks small.  Despite it being a 56 ring gauge, it just feels really small in your hands.  This might be perfect for smokers who only have 20-25 minutes of smoke time. Wrapper is leathery and rustic like all other Padrons.

Draw
Just like any other Padron, the draw is FLAWLESS.  Not too tight, not to loose.  Just Perfect.

Taste
The first few puffs are filled with refined pepper notes, which quickly settles into a gentle floral characteristic.  The smoke feels cooler in your mouth, as opposed to other Padrons.  It is super mellow.  Leather, Earth, Toast, Black Coffee, and Oak.  Medium bodied, Full of Flavor.  The burn is crooked, but it hasn't affected the way the cigar smokes.  I think this is a hit for Padron.

All in all, the Hermoso was a quick smoke.  Once again, perfect for those who only have about 25 minutes a day set aside to enjoy a smoke.  It tastes like a Padron, although somewhat mellower.  If you like the 1964 Anniversary Series, you'll enjoy this.  A+
